portrait of Marco Gazzoli

Marco Gazzoli, PhD

Marco discovered his passion for Landscape Architecture through a deep appreciation for the landscapes of his homeland, Italy. His academic journey has deepened his belief in design as a powerful tool to enhance both the environment and the communities we live in. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Architecture, a Master’s in Landscape Architecture, and a Ph.D. specializing in the Modern History of Landscape Architecture and Garden Design.

In 2021, Marco moved to Vancouver and gained diverse experience across various companies in the Lower Mainland, working in roles that ranged from landscape maintenance to construction and project management. With both a solid academic background and hands-on practical experience, he began his career as a Landscape Designer at Prospect & Refuge, where he works on a wide range of projects, including multi-family and single-family residential developments, as well as school site designs. He is currently pursuing his professional certification as a Landscape Architect, supported by the experienced and knowledgeable team at P&R.

Outside of work, Marco enjoys biking, playing soccer, cooking, and exploring with his camera, always on the lookout for inspiration for his next design.
